That'south what our reader, Jennifer Bruce, learned when creating this five-star strawberry cake. The recipe was built-in from family unit nostalgia. Jennifer explains, "My husband loved his Mamaw's strawberry cake. He thought no ane could indistinguishable it."

To recreate the classic dessert, she took to the kitchen, whipping up a concoction using fresh strawberries, white cake mix and a box of flavored Jell-O. The combination gives the block its mega moist texture and vibrant pink hue. To top it off, she made a fresh buttercream frosting using-you guessed it-even more than fresh strawberries. In the end she earned the highest praises from her spouse. She says, "Information technology'south only as scrumptious as he remembers."
